Annie Ilonzeh was living what appeared to be the American dream. She was the first black female to be installed as a Charlie’s Angel, something that most of us wanted to see in the recent film series. ABC had appeared to be giving her that opportunity by casting Ilonzeh in the new Charlie’s Angels TV show that was set to air this fall.
But the excitement was short-lived, for the show was cut after just four episodes. In the network television game, getting three million viewers instead of four can be the difference between living the good life and standing in the unemployment line.
Ilonzeh wasn’t the first major black star to be chopped by the networks. Naturi Naughton from “The Playboy Club” was also shut down before she even had a chance to get started.
The game of television can be brutal.

The entire game of economics has always been brutal for ppl of African descent in this part of the globe.
It's not a reality show where women are fighting and degrading each other. Sorry to hear that. I liked it.
