Singer Vesta Williams was found dead in a Los Angeles hotel room on Thursday of this week. The 48-year old singer was best-known for her hit song “Congratulations” in 1989.
Police have not announced a cause of death. Various celebs have been discussing the singer’s death on Twitter, including comedian Sinbad, who said, “Our dear sister and one of the sangiest diva’s ever, vesta williams, has passed away. I loved that sister.”
Vesta scored six top 10 hits on the Billboard charts in the 1980s and 90s. The daughter of a disc jockey, Williams was born in Ohio and moved to Los Angeles in the 1960s. She has worked with numerous artists, including Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, and Gordon Lightfoot.

This is so sad and depressing, so many people are dying at such young age, we know there is no age limit on dealth, because all of us will take that journey one day reguardless of age, My heart goes out to her famly and friends.
