A police officer in Philadelphia has been arraigned on rape and other charges after being accused of raping a woman inside his squad car. Keith Corley, a 27-year old man, was allegedly on duty when the sexual assault took place. He is being charged with rape, involuntary deviant sexual intercourse, sexual assault, indecent , assault, indecent exposure and official oppression for an incident that took place on August 11.
The victim said she was waiting for a bus in West Philadelphia when Officer Corley offered to give her a ride to the 69th Street Terminal. The woman claims that this is when he took her to another area instead and sexually assaulted her while inside the police vehicle. Police are gathering DNA from the police car and issued a search warrant on the officer’s home.
Corley is a four-year veteran of the Philadelphia police force and a married father of four step children. His gun and badge have been taken away and he has been suspended with 30 days with the intent to dismiss, according to police.

ReplyDeleteWow! Did he have his stupid mouth open this way at the job interview four years ago? Something must have "happened" to him?... But why take to raping a woman and kidnapping her too? Don't get it. City needs to check for any changes in new recruits while they are employed. Police work is no picnic, and everyone cannot remain immune to its pressures.

Lord recently assigned me as an Eye Opening Servant
When our Race had very little chance I was given birth
The good and bad God made sure I was a close observant
If God did not have plans, I would not be here on Earth
Young I was when He laid out foundations for our Races
Never would I have imagining us falling this far behind
Entering graves and prisons, instead of God’s Holy places
If you lost Him or never had Him, our God you best find
I know it for a fact that whoever finds God finds real life
When you do find Him, also praise Him under His steeple
Teach young people about God, not about a gun or knife

ReplyDeletePlease let's not rush to judgment. It's easier said than done, but don't forget that every accusation is not necessarily true. While it wouldn't be the first time that a police officer committed a crime against a citizen, it also would not be the first time someone made a false accusation against a cop.

ReplyDeleteI am with CHANCE FAVORS...this could VERY well be a false accusation; in any case, it is ashame that an officer would abuse his power in this manner and ashame that officers can be victimized and damaged by these false claims. The truth will be found.

ReplyDeleteThis is a terrible thing to have happened to this woman (if it's true) and the law will take its course. Too often powerful people hurt rather than help and protect the vulnerable. However, to all the (self)righteous judges on this comments board, "Let him that is without sin cast the first stone."
ReplyDeleteWhy would a woman except a ride with a policeman? Why would the police offer a ride when crime is so rapid in Philly? I believe that both enjoyed each other's company with a consentual plan that went wrong.

Besides, if this man is innocent, then what? Like the rest of the people who have made outlandish comments, you'll just move on to vent somewhere else. Wow, I am surprised at the people who have found this officer guilty and don't know the facts. Maybe the female is making up the story just to get a law suit. Who's DNA is in the car hers or the both of them. She could have set him up. I don't know if he did it or not but I am not going to find him guilty with out the facts. Whenever a law enforcement officer allows anyone in their vehicle they let dispatch know it along with the race, gender, time, mileage of the vehicle. This officer could have had consenual sex which was stupid and wrong. Hopefully the physical evidence will tell the entire story.
